Grievance Guidelines

The Disability Resource Center staff strives to provide effective and appropriate programs and services to meet our students’ needs.  We want to hear about issues or concerns and find a resolution through an interactive process.  Students who have any issues or concerns about DRC services should attempt to resolve the matter in the following manner.

1. Attempt to resolve the issue with the coordinator for the area of concern, as identified below.  (Please visit our Staff page for contact information)

   ARCHES - Chad Bowman                                     
   Assistive Technology - Adam Navarro                     
   Counseling or Advising - Cathy Schmitt-Whitaker    
   Real Time Caption/Interpreting - Gina Dravis            
   Testing Accommodations - Paula Sosta                  
    
2. If unable to resolve the issue or concern with the coordinator, it is recommended that the student contact the DRC Director:  Cathy Schmitt-Whitaker 
    
3. If still unable to resolve the issue with the DRC Director, it is recommended that the student contact the Office of Diversity and Compliance, the University’s Section 504/ADA Officer:

 At any time during the process or if still unable to resolve the issue with the Office of Diversity and Compliance, it is recommended that the student contact the Office of Civil Rights (OCR).
