Parent/Family Orientation

In recognition of the important role your family has played in your acceptance into Cal Poly Pomona and the continuing role they will play in your transition to college, Orientation Services hosts a simultaneous Parent/Family Orientation program.  This optional 1-day program, held on the first day of the Freshman & Transfer program for Fall admits, is designed to provide family members with the tools and information needed to aid in your transition to college life and academic success.  The cost of the Parent/Family Orientation program is $35 per person (prices subject to change) and includes:

• • Tours of our beautiful campus
  • Parent notebook and resource calendar
  • Overview of Cal Poly Pomona academic expectations
  • Insider tips from continuing Cal Poly Pomona students
  • Informational workshops on Financial Aid, Campus Safety, Career Preparation, Student Success, University Housing and much more
  • Opportunity to interact with administrators and faculty
   

Please note:  Pre-registration is required for the Parent/Family Orientation program.  If you or your parents/family members have disability or mobility concerns, please contact our office immediately to make accommodations.
