Registration Information

Cal Poly Pomona students can register for classes using the online registration system via BroncoDirect. Please visit the Registration Checklist page for more registration information. 

The following table provides information on certain registration restrictions.

When Registration Restrictions
General Registration Period 13 units of enrolled and/or wait listed classes
Add/Drop Period a total of 20 units, excluding courses that have been dropped
Add/Drop Period Enrollment in any course over the 20-unit limit requires approval.  Students must submit a signed Petition to Enroll in More than 20 Units Form to the Registrar's Office in order to register to these courses. 
Add/Drop Period Students enrolling in courses that have pre-requisites must have approval from the class instructor or department office and obtain a Permission Number to register for these classes.

 

Returning Students

Students who do not enroll in one or two consecutive quarters and are in good standing are eligible to enroll in the following quarter.  Students who do not enroll for three or more consecutive quarters (including the summer quarter) without an approved Leave of Absence on file will lose their matriculation status with the University and must reapply for admission.  To be reamitted, complete an application form and submit it to the Office of Admissions and Outreach within the admission filing period.  Students are subject to new degree requirements at the time of their readmission.
