Timeline for Dropping Classes

Timeline / Deadline	Type of Drop	How Drop Is Done
From the 1st day of registration through the 5th day of the quarter	Students may drop classes without a notation on their record.	through BroncoDirect
From the 6th day of the quarter through the 15th day of the quarter	Students may drop classes with a grade of "W".  (Units are not used in calculation of GPA.)	through BroncoDirect
From the 16th day of the quarter through the last day of the 7th week	Students may drop classes with a grade of "W", only for serious and compelling reasons.  (Units are not used in calculation of GPA.)	By Petition signed by  - instructor  - department chair  - college dean
From the 8th week through the last day of finals week	Students may drop classes (normally all classes) with a grade of "W", only for serious and compelling reasons beyond the control of the student.  (Units are not used in calculation of GPA.)
