Student Activities

The Renaissance Scholars provide a wide variety of activities that focus on the community of students.
Here are some examples of events during the past year.

Fall Kick-Off: Each academic year begins with a barbeque dinner to bring together students, staff and community supporters.

Dinner and Movie Nights: Each quarter, students pick their favorite movies, enjoy pizzas and an evening of fun in the Renaissance Scholars Living and Learning Center.

Thanksgiving Dinner: A dinner celebrating the amazing contributions of our students and an opportunity for students strengthen the bonds within their community.

Winter Jumpstart Workshop: At the start of each Winter Quarter, students and staff engage in academic and social development activities.

Winter Retreat: In recent years, students were invited to attend this two day workshop to promote student learning outside of the classroom. Guest speakers, team building activities and challenges were just a few activities the students participated in. The group has held retreats in Marina del Rey, Pasadena, Fallbrook and Laguna Beach.
