Program Eligibility

To qualify for admission to Cal Poly Pomona's Educational Opportunity Program, a student must:

  • Be a California resident
  • Be a first-time applicant to the CSU system
  • Be an undergraduate student from a family with a history of low-income
  • Must enroll as a full-time student (at least 12 units per quarter)
  • Demonstrate potential for success and be motivated to achieve his or her educational goals
Please note: EOP students transferring from another CSU campus are also eligible to apply if you were an EOP student at your previous CSU

If you are a first-time freshman and your grades, test scores, and/or high school coursework do not meet the minimum CSU admission requirements, special admission to the university may be offered to you through EOP. If you are to be considered as an EOP Special Admit, EOP will notify you to come to campus for a personal interview and skills assessment. Transfer students must be regularly admissible to the university.
