Student Employment

University Housing Services is a great place to work!

The University Housing Services (UHS) department is composed of the Business Services, Facilities and Residence Life divisions. We have many opportunities for student employment, leadership and internships throughout the year. We offer positions as customer service assistants, administrative assistants, graphic and web designers, technical support assistants, maintenance and facilities assistants, Resident Advisors, Welcome Week Leaders and Conference Services staff. We provide you with a fun and rewarding student employment experience. We look forward to meeting you!

How to Apply:

  1. Check the Current Openings box below to view the job descriptions for the available positions.
  2. Download and print the UHS Student Employment Application [PDF]. You may also pick up a copy at the Housing Office in Building 59. If you are applying for a Conference Services position, there is a different application that is attached to the job description. Please use this application instead.
  3. Fill out the application completely. You will need at least 2 references to complete the application.
  4. Attach your resume, current class schedule and most current quarter GPA.
  5. Deliver the completed application and supporting documents to the Housing Office located at the La Cienega Center (Building 59).

To be eligible to apply, you must be a current Cal Poly Pomona student and must have and maintain a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled in a minimum of 6.1 units or greater per quarter. A maximum of 20 hours may be worked per week. On-campus residency is not a requirement.
