CONFERENCE GROUP SERVICES
Conference Services at Cal Poly Pomona offers the convenience of coordinating all your conference requirements. Just make one phone call to make arrangements for housing accommodations, meal service, banquet needs, meeting space and other facility leasing.
There is a fully staffed front desk in each residence hall during designated evening hours, including weekends, for information, guest check-ins, use of recreation equipment and games and other guest relations. Hours can be flexible to accommodate guest needs.
A friendly and reliable staff is ready to assist all guests to assure the success of all conferences. In addition, the conference staff is on-call 24 hours for safety and security purposes, as well as for late arrivals.
Parking
Conference guests who drive and park on campus must pay for parking. Conference guests may purchase a summer parking permit that is validated for the full time of their stay or may purchase a parking permit through either Parking & Transportation Services or a daily parking permit dispensed from a pay station located throughout the various parking lots on campus.
Mail Services
Mail service is provided to Conference guests Monday through Friday and is not delivered to the campus on Saturday, Sunday or campus holidays. Mail should be sent to the conference office at:

A conference staff is at the front desk in every building nightly from 6-10 p.m. At this time they will bring the mail with them and conference guests are responsible for coming to the front desk to pick it up. If a package or letter is needed before this time, a conference guest may come to the conference office and pick it up. Conference Services is not responsible for lost letters or packages.
Laundry Facilities
In each residence hall there are four card accessible washers and dryers available on the first floor for building use. Laundry detergent is not provided; therefore, please bring your own. When using the laundry facilities, please be courteous and remove your laundry promptly.
Telephone Service
Telephone service is not provided in any of the rooms in the residence halls. There are pay phones located in all lobbies of the residence halls and a campus phone located on the second and third floors in the landing.
Residence Hall Safety
The safety of conference guests is of vital concern to Conference Services. While the University is a relatively safe place, crimes do occur on campus. Though UHS and Police and Parking Services work closely to provide for your safety, residents must take responsibility for developing a safe environment in the residence halls. Some steps you can take to ensure greater safety include not propping exterior doors to the building open, lock your room door when sleeping or when out of the room, be careful about leaving first floor windows open and most importantly never loan your room key to anyone. Loaning your key out is also a residence hall policy violation. Alcohol and illegal substances are prohibited in the residence halls and residential suites.
Recreational Services
Inside each hall, there are table game areas including pool tables. In each room, as well as the lounge, there is satellite TV service provided with more than 40 channels to choose from. Behind the residence halls there is a pool available for use by all conference guests as well as outdoor basketball and volleyball courts. Also available on campus is a larger pool, additional basketball courts and volleyball courts. The track, soccer and football field is located near the gym as well.
Fitness Express
Right next to the residence halls is the Fitness Express. Fitness Express is filled with a variety of exercise machines, weight machines and running machines. It is open 7 days a week with the exception of campus holidays. It is available for use by conference guests once a liability form has been filled out and a fitness fee has been paid.
Vending Machines
A wide variety of vending machines are available around Cal Poly Pomona. Most snack stations have vending machines with candy, chips, water, sodas, and juices.
Internet Access
All residence rooms are equipped with direct high-speed Internet access via and Ethernet connection to the Cal Poly Pomona network and World Wide Web. On-site technical support is also available for each conference guest if needed.
Front Desk
A conference staff member is available at the front desk every night from 6-10 p.m. for your convenience. This staff member is there to answer your questions, distribute mail, provide assistance, perform lockouts and check out equipment for the pool tables, ping pong tables, etc. All equipment must be returned to the front desk before this staff member leaves. No equipment shall be out of the front desk without a conference staff member present. For lockouts occurring after the designated front desk hours, a cell phone number will be provided so that a person may get back into their room as quickly as possible.
