Director's Letter On Residence Safety
Dear Resident,
Welcome to University Housing Services and Cal Poly Pomona. We know you will have a positive experience while living on campus in your new home.
Cal Poly Pomona is a safety-conscious campus and keeping all community members safe has long been a high priority. However, despite our best efforts, crime still does occur. YOUR first line of defense is a combination of awareness and prevention. This means that YOU can take specific action to prevent, or greatly reduce, the likelihood that YOU or another resident will be a victim of a crime.
Relying on your own instincts is an important rule for your personal safety and that of your fellow residents. Remember, your personal safety is our primary concern, but we need your help too.
This brochure contains information which reminds us that awareness is our most effective crime fighting tool. Please take a few moments to read it, and once again in a few months when things slow down. If at any time during the year we can be of assistance, please feel free to call either one of us. To report any crimes, incidents, or suspicious persons/activity, please contact University Police at (909) 869-3070 or University Housing Services at (909) 869-3307. We are here to help.
Again, welcome and please accept our best wishes for an enjoyable and SAFE year here in the residential community at Cal Poly Pomona.
Sincerely,
| Megan Stang | Michael Guerin | |
