What do I need to bring if I am assigned to the Halls?
Once you have been assigned to a space, the Housing Office will send you an email confirmation. This will include information about checking-in and recommendations of items to bring. This information is also located on the Housing website at: http://www.dsa.csupomona.edu/uhs/check_in_home.asp

Can I bunk or loft my bed?
Bunking or lofting of beds is permissible, with roommate consent. Bunking involves stacking one bed frame on top of another to create two bed spaces, one bed on top of the other. Lofting is taking one bed frame and lifting it to provide an open space underneath – ample enough to place a desk or two. Instructions are provided on the Housing website and tools are provided at the front desk of each building starting the first Monday of the quarter. Once the beds are lofted or bunked, they will be inspected for safety. To view instructions, please visit: http://www.dsa.csupomona.edu/uhs/room_alterations.asp
What size sheets will I need?
The beds in the Residence Halls, Suites and Center for Regenerative Studies are all twin, extra long. All assigned residents will receive information about special move-in packages, including a linen ordering service and other special offers from companies such as Bed, Bath and Beyond. Be sure to check your email and the Housing website for special move-in offers.
May I bring my own bed and furniture?
Each room is furnished with a bed and desk for each resident. Students may not remove the furniture that is provided (State property) and limited space would prohibit bringing in additional furniture.
How big are the rooms?
Descriptions and illustrations of room layout and dimensions are found on the Housing website at: http://www.dsa.csupomona.edu/uhs/residence_hall_floorplans.asp
May I bring in a refrigerator?
The Residential Suites include an apartment size refrigerator in the kitchen area. Residents may bring in a small refrigerator or microfridge for their residence hall room or individual bedroom in the Suites, but they cannot be larger than 3.7 cubic feet. A waterproof mat must be placed underneath to protect the floor/carpet.
May I bring in a microwave?
Microwaves are provided in the kitchen area of the Residential Suites. Residents may bring a small microwave or bring a microwave and refrigerator combination. Since space is limited, residents in the halls should consult with their roommates to see if they are also planning on bringing a refrigerator. A waterproof mat must be placed underneath a refrigerator to protect the floor/carpet.
