Room Selection For 2009-2010
For Current Residents Only

What is Room Selection?

Room selection is an online process where current residents may reserve their space for the next academic year. This will occurred during April/May 2009 and traditionally takes place during Spring Quarter. Current residents have first priority to lock in a space in their current community for next year. Specifically, Residential Suites residents have priority to select a space in the suites; Residence Halls residents have priority to select a halls space; CRS residents have priority to select a space at CRS.

What are the steps?

  • Completing and submitting a Student Housing License Agreement.
  • Receiving an email confirmation with a Room Selection Appointment to gain access to the feature “Select Your Room” on the StudentWeb.
  • Paying an initial fee to secure your space.

The Student Housing License Agreement

The Student Housing License Agreement serves as your contract for housing. Prior to completing the License Agreement, students will be asked to read and agree to the terms. It will include three sections: Terms and Conditions; Policies and Guidelines; Community Guidelines.

The License Agreement also helps the Housing Office determine the term for which you intend to live on campus.  The three choices are:

  1. Summer Only
  2. Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring (Year Round Contract)
  3. Fall, Winter and Spring (Academic Year Contract)

ROOM SELECTION

Once you have electronically submitted your contract, you will be given access to the StudentWeb Room Selection process. Your access will be based on the term you have chosen and will be by community (Center for Regenerative Studies, Residential Suites or Residence Halls).

Typical Phases

  • Poly Scholars in Residence floors
  • Year Round Suites for current suites residents
  • Year Round Suites for students in the lottery
  • Year Round Halls for current residents in the halls/CRS
  • Summer Only for suites and halls residents
  • Academic Year for suites residents
  • Academic Year Halls/CRS for Halls/CRS residents
  • Academic Year Suites for students from the lottery

NEW RESIDENTIAL SUITES BUILDINGS OPENING FALL 2010 - ADDITIONAL 620 SPACES!

It is anticipated that current residents living in the suites will have priority to select from any of the suites buildings (new and existing) during Room Selection next year (2010). Additionally, all residents living in the residence halls and Center for Regenerative Studies will also have priority for the residential suites, based on space availability. The process is currently under review and should be finalized by Winter Quarter (2010).
