Candidate Tours

This Visitor Center offers many services to help the campus community market itself to top job candidates as well as prospective students. Over the years, we have worked with many departments and have given tours to candidates for administrator, faculty and staff positions.

Candidate tours generally take one hour and can be conducted by one of the Visitor Center's professional staff members or if the candidate wants to learn about Cal Poly Pomona from a student's perspective, one of our student tour guides is also available. Search committees may choose from a walking or driving tour that can be customized to the interests of either the search committee or the candidate. As the tour is a tool used to garner interest in the university, the tour guide will also give an overview of the university's history, facts, and statistics about Cal Poly Pomona's student body and rankings, as well as some of the ways Cal Poly Pomona is a unique place to work and learn (e.g. learn by doing philosophy, affordability, diversity, etc.)
