Safety On Campus - Your Right to Know
Cal Poly Pomona places the highest priority on your safety, and we rely on community members to share our commitment and actively participate in creating a safe and secure living, learning and working environment. In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (The Clery Act), the UniversityÍs annual security report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or properties owned or controlled by Cal Poly Pomona and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional campus security policies, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, crime reporting, sexual assault, and other matters. Drug Free Schools and Communities Acts
Cal Poly Pomona recognizes its responsibility to provide a safe and productive educational and work environment and seeks to create and nurture a campus community where healthy lifestyle choices are fostered and promoted. The University complies with and endorses the Drug-Free Workplace and the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Acts and recognizes that addiction is a treatable illness. Students and employees are encouraged to seek assistance through available treatment programs.
Cal Poly Pomona's alcohol and drug abuse prevention plan includes medical evidence demonstrating the health risks of drug and alcohol abuse; standards of conduct that prohibit unlawful possession, use or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol; a description of legal and campus disciplinary sanctions; and descriptions of available drug and alcohol counseling and treatment programs. The Equity Athletics Disclosure Act
In compliance with the Equity Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA), Cal Poly Pomona's Athletic Department reports required information to the NCAA and directly to prospective students being offered an athletic grant and their parents. This information includes athletic graduation rates, the number of male and female athletes on campus, the expenses and athletic aid spend on each sport, recruiting expenses, annual revenue and salaries for all coaches. Financial Aid Information
Consumer disclosure information relating to financial aid includes: cost of attendance; descriptions of need and non-need aid types; application procedures and process; student eligibility requirements; student rights and responsibilities; criteria for selection of recipients and awarding funds; disbursement information; specific loan, work-study and volunteerism information; refund and repayment policies; satisfactory academic progress policy for financial aid; and financial aid availability for study abroad. Enrollment Information
