Get Involved!

Students are encouraged to get involved with the Violence Prevention & Women’s Resource Center by interning or volunteering in the office. As an intern or volunteer students will learn more about intimate partner violence and women’s issues .

The Violence Prevention & Women’s Resource Center’s internship/volunteer program is ideal for individuals seeking out a career in:

Interns and Volunteers assist Violence Prevention & Women’s Resource Staff in:

  • Organizing educational programs for Awareness Months
  • Organizing special events such as the Vagina Monologues
  • Organize self-defense classes
  • Marketing educational programs
  • Assisting survivors of intimate violence
