Internships Now Available for Winter 2010

The Violence Prevention & Women's Resource Center offers two quarter and one quarter internships though out the year. Internships offer students an opportunity for personal and career development and can be acquired though most academic departments.

  • Interns typically work 6 hours per week on educational program development, marketing, and fundraising for the office.
  • All interns and volunteers are highly encouraged to participate in weekly training on intimate violence, crisis intervention, legal rights of survivors, and community resources. Weekly training is geared towards providing the intern with an educational backing similar to a Certified Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Advocate.
  • Weekly Trainings are scheduled on Fridays from 11am-12:30pm and an integral part of the internship experience.

Inform the Violence Prevention & Women’s Resource Center of your interest in an internship by 8th week of the quarter prior to the internship beginning. Fill out an internship/volunteer application, provided by the Assistant Coordinator.
